Disabled iPhone after charging it.

Help! I was charging my battery dead iphone 4s and it is displaying a message that says it`s disabled. I never attempted entering a passcode let alone the wrong passcode so i am unsure on why it is disabled for an undisclosed amount of time. I have tried connecting it to the iTunes app on my laptop but it is saying it`s locked and I need to enter the passcode. What do I do
