Q: Apple keyboard 2wsx 8ik, not working

Hi,

I have an apple keyboard with numeric keypad.

Many keys are not working:

w, s, x

i, k and ,

delete

up arrow

`, ', right shift key

2, 8, 9

?

 

Is it dead?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

    Hello Chantus,

     

    It may be.   But first, how did this situation arise.   If the keyboard has had contact with liquid, you may have an insoluble problem.  If the keyboard is an older version, MK1, for example, it may be that it is not suited to the OS you are using.

    What is the background to your problem?
