CanoScan LIDE 90 Support

I have a CanoScan LIDE 90 scanner that’s been limping along for a few years now. Canon stopped updating drivers as of 10.8. Since then, I’ve managed to get it working using the MP Navigator app (ugh). The system prefs (Print and Scan), Preview and Image Capture fail to even see the scanner, despite it showing up in the system report.


I just tried VueScan (LIDE 90 is in their supported scanners list) and, again, not found. I’ve sent them an email. In the meantime, I thought I’d ask here to see if anyone else has managed to get theirs working.


I would really like to get the preview window back. While MP Navigator does eventually scan (it crashes EVERY time I scan) it would be nice to get back to something with the preview window.
