Boot Camp version for Windows XP
Does anyone know if a downloadable older version of Boot Camp would allow me to Boot Camp/install Windows XP onto my Mac mini running OS X 10.11.6? Thank you.

Thank you for your help. I have an early 2009 Mac mini and the link you provided tells me that Windows XP 32-bit via DVD (which I have) is compatible. Do you know then if I need an older version (?which version and is it downloadable?) of Boot Camp for Windows XP, since the one in my current utilities file (Boot Camp assistant) offers only Windows 7 as an option? Thanks again very much for your help.
Thank you Kappy. I think I will try Parallels.
This also depends on what Mini model you have. See the following for help: Boot Camp- System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
You need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier to set up Windows XP in Boot Camp.

Well, if I'm already at OS X 10.11.6, I suspect that means I cannot go back to 10.6.8 to use the Boot Camp for Windows XP. I find it hard to believe that there simply is no way. Hmmm.
You can use Parallels for Mac emulation software in which you can run any version of Windows you desire.
You can erase the drive, reinstall Snow Leopard, create a Boot Camp partition, install Windows. Emulation would be much simpler but will cost some money to buy it.
Not necessarily. VirtualBox is free and would probably serve just fine for running XP.
Thank you KiltedTim. I will look into this option.
