I approved an In-app purchase for my child and she still waiting what can I do?

I've had this happen a few times before. I have them re-request the app and then it usually works.

Edit: Just noticed you said in-app purchases. I haven't experienced this but is there an option on the child's device to cancel and then re-request?

Restarted, updated app and phone. Shut down for 2+ mins. It still says waiting for purchase appr

No. There's no option to cancel. It just keeps saying waiting for approval but I did not get a request.
