I received an email about someone using my account with weird language in it pls value spent.then when clicking on link to confirm yi did not make this transacrption it asked me for full contact details including bank card. How reliable is that?

OK, my good croc friend. Yes, the OP's email is a scam because it asked for info but Apple does use emails to contact us. I got this one yesterday and it was legit.

Date and Time: July 27, 2016, 10:57 PM CDT

Browser: Chrome

If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email.
If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID ( https://appleid.apple.com ) and change your password as soon as possible.

Lest we forget how clever these nefarious folks can be...

They can craft an email that "looks" much like yours (and mine below) - but a real Apple email will "cookie cutter" (verbatim except for "merged info") and look exactly like this - note that the "FROM" is accurately displayed, but that can be spoofed in this view, but not in the Full Header
