Jul 27, 2016 6:36 AM in response to nerinaby Meg St._Clair,It is a scam. Do not provide any credit card information. If you have already done so, contact your credit card issuer and have them replace the card.

Jul 27, 2016 6:37 AM in response to nerinaby macjack,It's a scam. Apple does not use email to contact you. Apple would never ask for this information.

Jul 28, 2016 11:58 AM in response to macjackby elcpu,OK, my good croc friend. Yes, the OP's email is a scam because it asked for info but Apple does use emails to contact us. I got this one yesterday and it was legit.
Dear (friend of macjack) Your Apple ID (xxxx@xxxx.net ) was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser. Date and Time: July 27, 2016, 10:57 PM CDT
Browser: Chrome
If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email. If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID ( https://appleid.apple.com ) and change your password as soon as possible. Apple Support

Jul 28, 2016 12:11 PM in response to elcpuby ChitlinsCC,Howdy "el"
Lest we forget how clever these nefarious folks can be...
They can craft an email that "looks" much like yours (and mine below) - but a real Apple email will "cookie cutter" (verbatim except for "merged info") and look exactly like this - note that the "FROM" is accurately displayed, but that can be spoofed in this view, but not in the Full Header

Jul 28, 2016 12:23 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby elcpu,The key is to look in the Full Header but likely not useful for most... You know but most do not.

Jul 28, 2016 1:16 PM in response to elcpuby ChitlinsCC,Thus, Apple has instructed us to simply send these critters as Forward as Attachment - then https://www.phishlabs.com/ = eCrime Management = can do what they do (methods and means should remain private) WITH the full headers
Then delete with prejudice!
