Q: fix to magic mouse scrolling problem?

My Magic Mouse Version 1 I believe just randomly stopped it's scrolling function.

 

Never happened before.

 

Restarting fixed it once, but now it's back to not working.

 

I'm using 10.11.6 OSX El Capitan. It was working just fine on El Capitan.

 

Please help!

    From what I see, Magic Mouse 1 is not guaranteed to operate completely with El Capitan (10.11)   It may be that once you updated to 10.11.6 that added more reason for you to need the new Magic Mouse 2.    When you see it in its box, you will see it says on the box 'for 10.11 El Capitan'.   That applies to both El Capitan and subsequent upgrades.   Remember, Sierra is coming in the autumn.
