Transfer iPhone PDF downloads to iBooks on MacBook Pro

I have downloaded PDF files to my iPhone 6.

I have not been able to transfer these PDF files from my iPhone 6 to my MacBook Pro.

They are not transferring to iBooks {Version 1.2 (825)} on my MacBook Pro when:

1) I connect my iPhone with a cord, and choose iTunes > Files > Devices > Transfer Purchases from {iPhone device name}

2) I connect my iPhone with a cord, and choose iTunes > Files > Devices > Sync {iPhone device name}

How do I transfer the PDF files that I have downloaded on my iPhone, to my iBooks (PDFs Collection)?

If you've downloaded the PDF files directly from iBooks, you can use iBooks on your Mac to locate your download history, and download them directly to the Mac. If you've gotten your PDFs from other sources, iCloud Drive is a great way for you to sync them across all your devices. The article below will help you get iCloud Drive set up.
