Jul 27, 2016 10:55 AM in response to elcpuby BiffoBails,Yep. iCloud photo library is turned' on'.
Also Optimised iPhone storage is also 'ticked'
But why should the storage decrease when I delete stuff?

Jul 27, 2016 11:00 AM in response to BiffoBailsby elcpu,How much did it decrease by? As you remove photos others are downloaded which may take more or less storage. I don't use iCloud Photo Library due to many concerns with it. I prefer to import my photos to my computer and use a cloud storage service like Dropbox. That way deleting is truly independent but it comes with the drawbck of not having the auto-sync feature.

Jul 27, 2016 11:08 AM in response to elcpuby BiffoBails,I probably deleted about 50 or so photos but the photos storage went ups by a couple of hundred MB.
I have a similar problem with 'mail'. Ive deleted hundreds of emails both in the in box, out box and trash, (especially those with attachments) but this has had absolutely no impact on the 'mail' storage shown in setting

Jul 27, 2016 12:08 PM in response to BiffoBailsby elcpu,I suspect that there are other issues at play here, not sure. Pls. take a look at these article and check what iTunes reports back to you. You may have to delete the email account, reboot, and add it again. This usually helps with the cache. But again other issues may be there and a restore might be the last resort.
