Jul 27, 2016 10:39 AMby JimmyCMPIT,describe how you are trying to add the printer. are you using the printer control panel or a 3rd party utility that bundled with the printer? What is happening? What steps you have take to correct the problem.
Include the make and model of the printer, and the Mac OS X version you are running (Mac computers don't run iOS, its for iPhones and iPads) , how is the printer connected USB or via Network or Wireless?
have you reset the printing system ?
Resolve printer issues on your Mac - Apple Support
have you downloaded the correct driver for your printer in your present operating system?

Jul 27, 2016 11:05 AMby kidelegance,okay all the upgrades have been done. I use a lightspeed POS on the cloud I run that through Firefox. Have been to the apple store for a total of five hours upgrading backing up etc...also have been on with lightspeed tech support usually excellent. I am using a "ready to go USB" Zebra LP 2824 Plus i have tried adding with printers & scanners & I have tried within the lightspeed software by printing a label....no go was working fine until i did a firefox update....The reason why we updated to el capitan.

Jul 27, 2016 11:30 AMby kidelegance,I wish that was true however i just connected usb to my laptop and it worked. (although there is some writing being added by the barcode) there's something with my Mac. I just tried to load my Hp 5660 all in one would not load software for that either. So interesting to figure out. Something is preventing a driver from loading? Thank you for your time Jimmy!
