Q: Linux client connecting to El Capitan Server Trouble
Hi All,
One of our freelancers is trying to connect to our OS X Server (10.11.6) using an Ubuntu Linux distro and the Dolphin browser that can browse SMB shares. We have SMB enabled so PC clients can access shares if necessary.
Dolphin prompts for the Server address, the Folder of access, and then one attempting to connect a Username/Password combo.
However, when attempting connect, we're just continually prompted for a username/password. I've tried multiple combinations of users that should definitely have access to the share, and I've tried both with and without the WORKGROUP\username format that some of our PC users need.
I'm guessing this may have something to do with the NTLM authentication that some users were affected by with the Yosemite upgrade, but I have no idea where to set that on Ubuntu, and some quick Googling has been of little help.
Appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks!
