Q: exporting DVD using Final Cut Pro

when trying to export my project to DVD using Final Cut Pro, it seems to always want to export my project in 720 when my project was filmed and edited using 1080. how can I export my project to DVD in 1080?

Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    DDVD predates HD. It's standard def only. For HD you need Blu-ray.

    As Tom mentions:

    DVD is a Standard Definition format, nothing can change that.

     

    Other than exporting/sharing to Bluray from FCP X, you can use regular DVD discs to create an AVCHD disc:

    This will give you an HD disc, but, expect a short duration of around 20 minutes per layer.

    This type of AVCHD disc will not play on a DVD reader and will require a Bluray player to view.

    BTW: Bluray is not in the default share menu so use the Add Destination:
