.mod has become a audio file

Hello,

macosx 10.11 Retina MacBook Pro 2013

.mod has become a audio file, after "a" or "the updates". I can't open these anymore, this inflicts also my projects on FCP 10.2. Does anyone have a solution?

recently i found VLC, but it is not a solution for my FCP...User uploaded file
