Q: Book update

How do I get iBooks purchased books to update all.  When I select update for each book, I only get 1 or 2 books to update.

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 9.3.1

    Hi Craignw,

     

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. 

     

    I see that when trying to update purchased iBooks, it is only updating one or two of your iBooks and not updating all. I know how important it is to make sure that you are able to get available updates all at once. I have a couple of things that I would like you to try. 

     

    First, it doesn't appear that the iBooks app is responding like it should. Please use the following article to force close the iBooks app:

    Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

     

    Then, please give your iPhone a fresh restart. This article will help:

    Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch​

     

    Once the iPhone has restarted, please try to get purchased iBooks updates again, and see if it updates all.

    II was told to close the app completely and restart my device.  This works pretty good, but I still found some updates not completing.  I closed the app and opened it and it seems to have helped.

    That helped thank you.  I had to completely close the app again on my iPad mini to get the updates.  The individual update function only works for 1 maybe 2 updates.  I had 103 book updates waiting.  Again thank you.
