Q: use my user name rather than full name?

When I set up my new MacBook, I chose "Mike" as my user name. However, it also asked me my first and last names, and I put "Michael <last name>". I put Michael rather than Mike because I use the former on legal documents. If the MacBook software puts my name on emails, pages files, and so forth I want it to use Michael.

And it is doing that, so that's good.

However, Mike is my preferred nickname. I come from the Windows world, where my user name "Mike" is used for most things inside windows, like indicating who is signing in, the name of the folder where my files are stored, the screensaver, etc.

However my new MacBook is calling me "Michael" everywhere. So it is not defaulting to my user name "Mike". Just wondering if I could get it to call me "Mike" in the following places: (1) login, (2) screensaver, (3) bash terminal prompt.

(Without changing my name in email or Pages.)

iPod touch, iOS 8.4
