Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue with the Music App on your iPhone. I know how important it is to be sure the app is working properly. You might want to start by restarting the iPhone and seeing if that resolves the issue. If the issue comes back, it might be best to see if the issue is software related. That is best done by reinstalling the operating system to the iPhone from iTunes and testing the issue when you set the phone up as new.
Check out these articles that give you the steps you need to be sure iTunes is up to date, backup your device, then reinstall the operating system:
Get the latest version of iTunes
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
Once you've done those steps, when the iPhone is set up as new, test the Music App and see how it's working. Then follow the steps in this article to Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.
Cheers and Happy Listening!
