Q: Cannot get HP printer to join new network wireless.  Apple TV is connected can I hook printer to AppleTV usb port.  Provider said to connect to modem with ethernet but no ethernet port on printer

Cannot get HP printer to join new network wireless.  Apple TV is connected can I hook printer to AppleTV usb port.  Provider said to connect to modem with ethernet but no ethernet port on printer

no the only purpose the usb port on the appletv has is to upgrade the ios if the appletv's software crash

 

if your printer does not have an Ethernet port and the box and manual does not state it support wifi then you need to look at devices which let you connect usb printers to the network, apples wifi routers express and extreme is suppose to support that, I'm sure there are many alternativs though
