Q: iPod Classic 6th Gen or iPod Touch 6th Gen?

I'm off to college this fall with a music major and I decided that I really needed an iPod to suit my needs. I haven't really used an iPod much before now, because my iPhone has filled up and I figured its time to put all my music separately on an iPod.

Now, I already own an iPod Touch 6th gen(32gb) that I got as a gift and haven't really used. I just bought an iPod Classic gen 6(160gb) because I figured I would enjoy the large storage space and it would give me room to grow and I wouldn't have to deal with apps or anything and could just turn it on and listen to music, but I'm now reading that the sound quality isn't too great.

I have about 2,000 songs in my library currently, so I mean 32gb still gives me a decent amount of room to add more music, but I like the idea of having a lot more than I really need with the 160gb classic. My issue stems back to the sound quality. I would consider myself a light audiophile, so I'm wondering if the sound quality between these two devices is great enough that its worth it just to stick with the touch. I like the simplicity and the storage of the classic, but I'm definitely more interested in the quality of the sound. 32gb's would be enough for me if the difference was that great.
