Hello Everyone,
I'm running Final Cut X on a Mac Book Pro Retina Mid 2014 with OS X El Capitan. The secondary display (I tried it already with an extra computer screen and a projector) is on but when I go to: Final cut - Windows - Show events/viewers on secondary displays nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Are the commands for Show Events on Second Display (or Viewers) active but nothing happens, or are they greyed out?
Do you have the second display set up to mirror the internal display? It needs to be set as extended desktop, not mirror. You can switch between the two options quickly by pressing Command-F1.

I'd try to delete preferences first. Hold down command and option while starting and click "Delete Preferences" in the dialog that appears. Hopefully that may fix it.
