Q: Need Help with Ipod Music!

All of a sudden while using my iPod i noticed that when i go to click on one of my "purchased" songs it will grey out and say "item cannot be found" and a pop up occurs saying i need to log into my iTunes account. I try logging into my iTunes account and after clicking okay nothing happens. So its only doing this with songs I've purchased from iTunes. It will also show a circle to the right of the song and start re-downloading the song. When this happens I plug in my iPod to my iTunes library, sync the iPod, and all the purchased songs are restored on my iPod and working until I click on one of them again. Only when I click on them to play the song does it start doing this. The songs I did not purchase that are on my iPod are fine, they aren't having any issue. My iTunes library is also normal and acting fine. Its just literally on my iPod when i go to play a "purchased" song. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Hello jessica from harrison township,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to  be able to enjoy your music, especially if you listen as much as I do.  It sounds like your iPod is having trouble getting those songs to load up when they are needed.  There are  a couple steps we can try to isolate and resolve the issue.

It may help to sign out of the iTunes store entirely and then restart your iPod. You can do this by going to Settings > iTunes and App Store. Tap on your Apple ID and select "Sign out". Afterwards, restart the iPod and then sign back in. Navigate to one of the trouble songs to retest.

If the Trouble persists, try resetting the network settings on your iPod. This will not delete any information, but you may need to sign back into your Wi-Fi and re-add your bluetooth devices if you are using any. You can rest the network settings under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you run into any trouble, or if you have any questions, the entire community is here to help.
    -Best regards-

The following steps will usually help resolve odd behaviour with synced media. They assume that all of the content you want on the device is in your library ready for restoring. If it isn't see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restore as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup you made earlier.
