Q: when I download TIF files (photos) for conversion to JPEGs  my MacBookAir automatically converts them to bad pixelly JPGs.

How can I get my MacBookAir to keep the TIFs as TIFs so I can convert them appropriately?

Thanks!

MacBook Air, iOS 9.3.3

MacBook Airs don't run Classic or iOS.

TIFF Files generally can come in layered format when coming off an Adobe Photoshop edit, which may not be able to be viewed by Apple's Preview, or saved as TIFF from Preview from a PNG or JPEG or PDF.

Find out the source of the TIFF file.  If it was edited in Photoshop, you will likely need a copy of Photoshop to manage the layering of the file.

Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find your Mac OS X version, so this thread can be moved to the correct forum.
