Look at the seller's positive feedback score.... If it is high 99% or better you are probably ok. Make sure the USB key is included. I bought logic 7 and 8 on eBay and had no issue.

ebay also provides protection in the event the item isn't as advertised-just read it carefully.

Also, you can only run Logic 8 on older mac operating systems.
