How do you tell if a dead iPad is charging?
Is it charging when it shows a picture of the battery with a electricity symbol and the charger symbol or is it charging when it just shows the battery?

As your device charges, you'll see a lightning bolt beside the battery icon in the status bar, or a large battery icon on your lock screen.

Um, I'm not seeing that at all. Isn't that only if your iPad is not yet dead? Mine is dead and all that is popping up is a battery showing that I should plug it in and when I plug it in it just changes to a picture of a battery with 4 red lines in it. Does this mean that it is charging?
