Q: Slide in Side Effect

Hi,

 

I'm wanting to create a template for a slide in side bar within Motion a la - https://youtu.be/mNiqpBNE9ik?t=6s

 

I've tried looking for tutorials or even a template. Any advice?

    on first sight, a simple keyframed animation... but when you watch closely:

    #1 those rectangles are 3D ... you could reenact that in Motion 5, with a glyph like ◼︎, using the 3D title feature:

    #2 the boxes create drop shadows - you have to create your own light situation, no rocket science but ....

     

    #3 rotating stars, ... mine look a bit .... curvey LOL

    now, rebuild that set, estm. 30-40 elements .... phewww!!

    I produce plugins, but that one would be for my standards too complex ... in the building. The animation itself is simple.

     

     

    dig thru the offers at the serious template makers, an excellent source is for instance

    www.motionvfx.com ...

     

    Plan C) forget the 'real' deepness and drop shadows: 'shop' that object in some paint.app, incl. shadows, divide elements on two layers to reenact the flow in ....
