i did fit a new speaker and im competent, but the new speaker still refuses to work

Jul 30, 2016 8:03 AM in response to roastyduckby lllaass,Frequently when stuck in headphone mode it is due to the little switch in the headphone jack sticking shut. Sometimes cleaning the jack with alcohol and inserting/taking out a headphone plug a dozen times or so help.
Also have you tried restoring to factory settings/new iPod since sometimes a software glitch can cause the device to be stuck in headphone mode.
