Q: Yosemite won't allow my update
I can't seem to update my Macbook Pro. I had the update for El Capitan started some time ago, but the internet connection disconnected for an hour or so. I had tried to restart the download but it's stuck in the "waiting" or "pause" icon. What should I do?

Have you tried going to the App Store Purchases tab to check for a Resume option on the download? If nothing else will work, delete the installer from the Applications folder and start a new download.
