Q: Updating to 9.3 Doesn't Seem to Help iCloud Sign Out Problem

I experienced this problem on an old iPod, so I updated the device to 9.3. Now that it's up-to-date, I tried signing out of iCloud again, but it still asks for the password to my old ID, and won't let me progress.

iPod touch, iOS 9.3.3

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post, I understand that your iPod touch is asking for your previous Apple ID password for iCloud. In a situation like this I recommend the following article:

My question was a direct response to that article, as you can see in the original post. The advice in the article did not work. I upgraded to 9.3 as the article said, and still couldn't log out.
