Q: HELP!! iTunes won't recognize my iPhone

The first time I plugged my iPhone in to the computer itunes said that it wasn't up to date so I deleted and redownloaded it. (iTunes wouldn't let me update so I just reinstalled. Then the USB driver wasn't working (it wouldn't even charge the phone) so I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, it was able to charge it again. But now iTunes doesn't recognize it what so ever. I went into Device Manager while it was plugged in and it didnt show up. I don't know what to do, please help!! (FYI The laptop runs on Windows 7)
