Q: Internet Radio Issues

I would appreciate help on any of the following ...

1.   Some of the internet radio stations that I saved to a playlist from earlier versions of iTunes no longer play. Why?

2.   I have a playlist of internet radio stations. When playing one it will suddenly jump to the one below on the list. Why?

3.   I try using File>Open Stream ... insert the URL and nothing happens. Why?

I've been using the internet radio feature for a long time and it seems that with every new version I encounter more problems. These new versions make it more difficult, not easier.

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

    1) Are you sure the station is still on the air? Are they still using the same streaming protocol?  Some have gone over to requiring you use their web page instead of a Shoutcast mp3 stream.

    2) No idea.  Maybe there's a break in the stream?

    3) Do you have the URL for the actual stream and not the one for the web page?  Again, it can sometimes be tricky finding the URL for the stream if the page is encouraging you to use their web site so they force you to have the page open so they can provide ads etc.

With this kind of issue it always helps to provide examples.  We can see if we have the same problems with those sites.
