Q: Is there any way to recover messages from a year back if I accidentally deleted them?

Need to find a way to recover old iPhone messages after I deleted them.  Is this even possible?

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    When did you delete them? If you just deleted them and have a backup of the device with the messages on it, you can restore the device to that backup to restore the messages. However, anything done on the device since that backup date would be lost. Otherwise, no.
