Have a six column roster set up which is currently 3 pages.  Is it possible to move one name, address, phone listing from columns 1/2/3 over to columns 4/5/6 without changing other listings.

example  have too many names in 1/2/3, page 3 and want to move last name up to top of 4/5/6 and having others drop down in column to open space .....

    Hi cae,

This assumes that all entries on the page are entered data, not generated by a formula in the cell(s).

The easiest route is probably to

    • Select all of the entries in columns D, E and F.

    • With the cells selected, click on the name in D2, and drag the group down one row, dropping it wen the pointer is in cell D3. (Two)

    • Select the three cells containing the last entry in columns A, B and C. Copy. (Three)

    • Select the three empty cells at the top of columns D, E and F. Paste (Four)
(For short tables, you can drag and drop as done above.)

    • Click on the Row reference tab for row 8. Click on the  v beside the 8, Choose Delete Row.

    • Done.
