Q: Apple Watch Photos Export

First of all, I didn't back up any of my Apple products.  I didn't realize it was necessary.  I had used Touch ID to unlock my iPhone for a very long time, and after getting out of the pool I needed to unlock my phone.  Touch ID wasn't working so I typed in what I thought was the password over and over again.  I got locked out and had to erase the entire phone.  Losing over a year's worth of photos.  Though, I was in luck because they were all still on my Apple Watch!  I'm not able to pair my watch with my phone again until I completely wipe it.  So, is there any possible way to get the photos off the watch? Is there anyone I can send it to that knows how to extract the photos? My only other option is to take pictures of the tiny apple watch screen displaying the photos.  Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

The only photos that you will find on the Apple Watch are ones that you synced over to the watch from the iPhone. And those photos are ones that should already reside on the computer.

I'm sorry you lost content, but why would you believe it isn't necessary to backup the Apple devices? Do you backup your computer? Unfortunately, you have just found the importance of a backup, and what can happen if you do not have one.

Thanks for the reply.  I don't think I'm going to reset my apple watch so I can keep the pictures on it.  I now have automatic iCloud backup setup.

Well, if you have iCloud backup set, then you can restore your device from the iCloud backup. Your OP said that you did not backup the device, but you say now that you had iCloud backup set. However, I'm not sure how your photos will be handled, as that depends on how you had them setup. Were you using iCloud for your photos too? You can log into www.icloud.com and see if your photos appear there.

The photos do not appear at www.icloud.com.  The backup was setup after this accident.
