iPhoto can't update ...

I have been unable to use my iPhoto and it said Update Required and then when I try to update it said "update not available in the US"

I was led to remove the program and reinstall but after uninstall it will not allow me to upload, it doesn't show up in the App Store...

What do I do???

Hi

Do you have a previous version of iPhoto registered to your Apple ID?

Read it thoroughly including the comments. The post mentions Yosemite but the procedure is exactly the same

for El Capitan.
