Have you checked the preferences of your account here? Click on your account name (top left of this page), and in the window that pops up, click on Preferences. Deselect "Content I'm following".

Jul 30, 2016 3:26 AM in response to Eric Dalzellby turingtest2,Check your account's preferences page and change the email settings so that you no longer get emails for Content I'm following. You can set the other options to suit your taste.
If you want to continue to receive some emails for some threads see your following communities to unsubscribe from any communities (two, Numbers for Mac and iCloud on my Mac) and your following content to unsubscribe from individual threads (fifty-two including this one). You can use the gear icons to unfollow items.

Jul 30, 2016 8:06 AM in response to Eric Dalzellby ChitlinsCC,You are following two forums = getting all notices of any activity in them. Go to these links one at a time and choose [Following] button to UNfollow them = problem solved.
You WANT to leave the switches on your preferences page ON so that you are notified ONLY of your own participated thread activity
