Q: Unable to get Verizon email

My settings are correct, yet I keep getting the message that my username or password is incorrect; it's not.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.2

    Try resetting your Mail Account. First close your Mail App completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Mail preview pane up until it disappears from the screen. Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > locate your email provider and click on the account and swipe to Delete. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Then go back to Settings > Mail… and add the account again.

    TThank you for your advice. I just tried it and still no luck. I've double checked my email and password so many times now, I feel like I'm losing my mind. This is not the first time it's happened and it's happened more than once. I do nothing and suddenly "cannot get email". I went through so many steps and hoops deleting the account so many times, I don't know which fix worked.  and I know others have had the problem. I have yet to see anyone with the answer.  Anyway, thank you again.

    Try contacting Verizon and see if they can help. I also read on another thread to try entering a junk email address under Other and since that will fail it will trigger the full options menu. I will try to find that thread and link it here.

    Thank you So much. I do get a box that says you can continue, but you won't get mail. When I say ok I do get to the full menu where I set the info and port as instructed by Verizon, still no luck. I'll call Verizon when I can and see.

    Okay. Problem solved. This time it was with Verizon.net. Next time, I'll go straight to Verizon instead of wasting hours trying to reenter the information and driving myself mad.
