Q: Change new IMac from extended journaled to extended journaled case sensitive?
My old IMac is extended Journaled case sensitive while the new one is extended journaled. When I try to use the migration assistant, it fails due to different formats. How can I reformat my new computer to extended journaled case sensitive? Because it is the boot disk, the operation fails. I partitioned the drive into 2 parts and made the second partition case sensitive. How do I transfer the boot partition to the second partition and then I should be able to redo the first partition?
IMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Make a bootable clone of the boot hard drive partition to the second partition, erase, and then clone it back to the boot partition.
Clone - Carbon Copy Cloner (Often recommended as it has more features than some others)
