Q: build out-what happened to dissolve?

Am I crazy, or is dissolve missing for build outs?

 

I've been having computer issues since August (yes, August!!!! and AppleCare can't find the root of the problem)...so odd glitches are happening across a myriad of apps. But didn't you used to be able to dissolve your way out?

 

I'm not liking any of my options right now.
