How do I email my album of 609 photos on my Mac?

I have tried multiple times to send this album of photos through iCloud photo sharing and into google drive, but every time it misses some of the photos or it says the album is too big. I welcome all suggestions. Thank you in advance!

you can not email that many photos at one time - depending on your email service you could need up to 609 seperate emails

iCloud Photo Sharing is not sharing by email and does not share the full sized photos but you certainly can share 609 photos in a share album - what exactly is the error message? The limits for iCLoud PHoto Shareing are:

iCloud Photo Sharing limits

These are the iCloud Photo Sharing hourly and daily limits:

  • Maximum number of photos and videos from a single contributor across all shared albums, per hour: 1000
  • Maximum number of photos and videos from a single contributor across all shared albums, per day: 10,000

These sharing limits are separate from the upload limits above. For example, in the same day you could upload 10,000 photos to My Photo Stream, then share those 10,000 photos or 10,000 other photos. Some additional limits for shared albums:

  • Maximum shared albums an owner can share: 100
  • Maximum shared albums a user can subscribe to: 100
  • Maximum subscribers per shared album: 100 (the number of subscribers on each shared album)
  • Maximum combined number of photos and videos from all contributors in any one shared album: 5000
  • Maximum number of comments per photo or video in a shared album: 200 (a comment can be either a like or a text entry)
  • Maximum characters per comment: 200
  • Maximum number of invites a shared album owner may send per day: 200

As to missing some that probably is a timing issue - give it a few of days to complete uploads and processing

You could burn them to CD or put on a thumb drive and mail it (export to a desktop folder and drag it to a a mounted, unlocked Thumb drive large enough to hold them or use the finder and right click on the folder and burn to disk)

You can share using Apple MailDrop - it may require yu break up the folders in to smaller sets of photos (a 5GB max) - the limits for mail drop are:

Mail Drop limits

Mail Drop lets you send large files like videos, presentations, and images through iCloud. If you shared links through Mail Drop that are no longer available, you might have exceeded one or more of the service limits.

With Mail Drop, you can send attachments up to 5 GB in size. You can send these attachments right from Mail on your Mac, the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and from iCloud.com on your Mac or PC. All files types are supported and attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage. If a message, including its attachments, is larger than your Internet Service Provider (ISP) limit, Mail will ask you to send the attachments using Mail Drop.

Attachments might not be sent using Mail Drop if they exceed these limits:

  • The message, including its attachments, is larger than 5 GB. Try sending the contents of your message in multiple email messages or compressing your attachments to make them as small as possible.
  • An uncompressed folder is attached to the message. Use these steps to compress your attachments.
  • Too many messages have been sent or the maximum number of recipients has been exceeded. Learn about mailbox size and message sending limits.
  • You reached the 1 TB Mail Drop storage limit. Each attachment expires after 30 days, so you can send new attachments after earlier attachments expire and more storage becomes available.

You should also review these limits:

  • Mail Drop works with a Mac using OS X Yosemite or later, an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9.2, and a Mac or PC with an updated browser. See the system requirements for Mail Drop.
  • After you send an email, the recipients have 30 days to download the Mail Drop attachments.
  • The recipient’s email app might have a smaller message size limit that prevents the attachment from being delivered.
  • The time it takes to upload or download an attachment can vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of your attachment.
  • The recipients might not be able to access your attachment if the link has an excessive amount of downloads or high traffic.
