Best way to import video files into iMovie 10.0.8 from the Sony AS100v
Best way to imort the clips without loosing any quality. My operating system is Yosemite 10.10.3

This camera is not listed as compatible with iMovie 10 (iMovie supported cameras - Apple Support)
so you will probably need to remove the SD card from the camera and plug it into an SD card reader (if there is not one already built into your Mac). You can then import the clips from there. The XAVC-S format used by the camera is supported by the latest version of iMovie (10.1.2) which requires El Capitan. I'm not sure whether 10.0.8 does. If not, Google search will reveal a number of apps which claim to do a conversion.
