Q: No delete items option in Photos for import from iPhone

I found there is no "delete items after import " option in Photos and Image Capture of my Mac, so I can not delete photos after I import them from my iPhone

The option to elete after import should be showing below the toolbar in Photos, before you start importing. In Image Capture it is in the sidebar.  If this option is missing completely,  is typical for having iCloud Photo Library enabled on the iPhone. If iCloud Photo Library is enabled, the photos are primarily stored in iCloud and only mirrored on the iPhone. Your Mac cannot delete the mirrored copies.

If you are using iCloud Photo Library on the iPhone, importing using USB is not a god idea anyway. It will give random results, depending on which photos have been downloaded from iCloud to the iPhone.  In that case use iCloud to transfer the photos.

Thank you. And you answer my another question too. That's, when iCloud Photo Library is enabled, the number of new items to be imported is wrong. For example, I never import before, I guess it should import all the photos in my iPhone, but actually, it's not and far less than that.

I enabled iCloud Photo Library and hope it will upload all photos in my iPhone. While it stop work occasionally and never finish sync. And it does not resize the photo that has been uploaded even when available space in my iPhone is only 10%. So I turn to photos/image capture for help.

Photo management in Apple is really really a mess and confusing, even if I exclude the need of family sharing and sync between device.
