Q: imac 2010, should i upgrade?

they real question is does it do what you need still and are you willing to dump more money into it if you need another repair? Personally, I would not our any more money into it.y friend put $400 dollars into a 6 year old computer to have it die eight months later.

You should try running Apple Hardware Test and see what it comes up with and

post any results (Using Apple Hardware Test - Apple Support).

If that shows no problems, try running Etrecheck (http://www.etrecheck.com/)

and post the results.  It may simply be an issue of incompatible 3rd party app

or extension or some other software issue.
