    Use iPad/iPhone's iBooks app.

    1. Select the book you want from the iBooks Store to send as a gift (note: recipient must be in the same country)

    2. Tap the Rectangle with a upwards pointing arrow icon (on the top right or next to the title)

    3. Tap the Gift icon, and type some messages and send.

MY bad in asking question. I pre-purchased now want to download on her iPad without her being able to download my other purchases or having my password.

The book that you bought is tied to your account, you probably would have been better just gifting the book from the store to her (which you can still do as per ckuan's instructions ; you will need a credit card on your account to gift/buy it for her), and not buying it on your own account.

Are you and her using family sharing ? If you are the book should show on your account in the Purchased tab in iBooks on her iPad for her to download.

If not you could log into your account in iBooks on her iPad (e.g. tap on her id at the bottom of the Featured tab and tap 'sign out' and then log into your account) and redownload the book on it, but that is likely to tie her iPad to your account for 90 days (assuming that it's not already tied to her own account) : View and remove associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support.

THanks.  I bought another and directed it to her account. I also sent a paper copy from Amazon. Should have done that to begin with.
