You have a few options depending upon the age of your Macbook and the type of iPhone you have.
1) AirDrop will allow you to wirelessly share files between an iPhone and a Mac that are on the same network. However, you will need an iPhone 5 or later that is at least running iOS7, and you will need a Mac from 2012 or later, that is at least running OS X Yosemite. If you meet those two requirements, then please follow the instructions found on the following Apple Support article on how to use AirDrop.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203106
2) iCloud Drive can be used to store files in the cloud and access them across all of your devices. If you are running OS X El Capitan, then iCloud Drive is enabled by default and you will see your iCloud Drive listed in the sidebar of Finder. If you are not running El Capitan, then here are the instructions (and requirements) for enabling iCloud Drive on your Mac (and iPhone).
Set up iCloud Drive
Use these steps to set up iCloud Drive on each of your devices.
iOS 8 or later
- Tap Settings > iCloud.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, if you need to.
- Tap iCloud Drive.
- Tap Upgrade to iCloud Drive.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch has iOS 9, you can see your iCloud Drive files in the iCloud Drive app. You can show or hide the iCloud Drive app on your Home Screen. Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive and tap the slider for Show on Home Screen to turn on or off.
OS X Yosemite or later
- Go to Apple menu > System Preferences and select iCloud.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, if you need to.
- Select iCloud Drive, then select Continue.

Once you have iCloud Drive enabled, you can drag and drop your PDFs into your iCloud Drive via Finder. Open iCloud Drive on your iPhone, and you will be able to open the PDF files in the corresponding app of your choice (or in iBooks since it is the default PDF viewer for iOS).
3) You can e-mail the PDFs to yourself as attachments, and download each attachment.
4) If you use an alternative cloud service such as Dropbox, you can sync your PDFs to said service and open your PDFs across all of your devices.
Best of luck to you
