Jul 31, 2016 1:58 PM in response to myjosefby Jonathan UK,Hi
The following steps may help:
- If you have ever previously used the Workout app and/or any third-party fitness tracking apps (such as Strava) to record workouts, check whether there is presently an active or paused activity within any of those apps.
- If there is, end the activity from within that app on your watch (not on your iPhone).
- Try restarting both your iPhone and watch:
- Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off.
- To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
- Next try unpairing and re-pairing your watch.
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app. When setting it up again, choose to Restore from Backup. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
- If you have ever previously used the Workout app and/or any third-party fitness tracking apps (such as Strava) to record workouts, check whether there is presently an active or paused activity within any of those apps.

Jul 31, 2016 2:02 PM in response to Jonathan UKby myjosef,Thanks for the reply,
Sorry should of added that no fitness apps are currently running.
I have already restarting both phone and watch and I unpaired last night, however, it still logged 416 minute of workout between the hours of midnight and 6am?

Jul 31, 2016 2:04 PM in response to myjosefby léonie,It is intentional, that you can use the Other activity, even when not wearing the watch. This way you can log a swim or any actitivity, where it is not possible to wear the watch.
If the watch is seemingly starting to log an activity on its own, you have perhaps paused an activity, instead of ending it and accidentally restarted it, when putting the watch down. At least, I had that happen once.

I have not used this app since Wednesday and it has not been on pause, however, it has been logging a daily exercise activity of around 400 minutes?

Jul 31, 2016 2:50 PM in response to myjosefby Jonathan UK,Have you ever previously used a third-party fitness tracking app on your watch?
If so, have you opened each such app - on your watch, not on your iPhone - to check whether an activity is currently shown as being in progress or paused?

Jul 31, 2016 3:17 PM in response to Jonathan UKby myjosef,Thanks again,
Yes i have ran 3rd party fitness apps (strava) in the past from my watch
But I am unsure how many times I have to say that NO fitness apps on my watch are currently paused?
just to be clear, NO FITNESS APPS ON MY WATCH ARE RUNNING, PAUSED, OR OTHERWISE?
As stated;

Jul 31, 2016 3:53 PM in response to myjosefby Jonathan UK,I asked you to confirm whether you had ever used third-party apps because you had not yet provided that information.
I also asked you to confirm that you had checked each of them, in case you had instead assumed, based on recollection of usage.
I was keen for you to clarify this because the issue that you are describing seems similar to one that some other users have previously experienced with Strava, except for the lack of evidence of a paused or running workout.
In order to rule out Strava as the cause, I suggest that you try removing the app from your watch:
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > scroll down and tap on Strava > turn off Show App on Apple Watch.
- Then restart both devices again (turn both off together, then restart your iPhone first).
For the same reason, I suggest also temporarily turning off Strava's ability to share (write) data to the Health app on your iPhone:
- On your iPhone, in the Health app: Sources > Strava > under "Allow Strava to Write Data", turn off Heart Rate.
- Enable the setting again before next recording a workout with Strava.
