Q: Pages to ePub: dismissed images, hyperlinks not working

Hi,

I endured bad exporting from Pages 4.2 (iWork 9.2) to ePub. After I opened my ePub in an app I use for reading the format (BookReader, that is) the resulting document suffered from (1) non-preserved images (through made to be inline in Pages) and (2) inability to go beyond (I mean "jump" when clicking a hyperlink to the footnote I need to get to) the very first page of a set of pages with footnotes in form of bookmarks linked to by creating hyperlinks in different parts of main document body (though this works both in Pages and PDF format as expected). Regarding latter when in ePub I click a hyperlink, say num. 25, I always am gotten to the very first pages containing bookmark/footnote num.1,2,3 and not the one containing the bookmark/footnote 25.

What's interesting I created another document in Pages and exported to ePub and all the hyperlinks were working. True, the doc was much smaller, but, again, I opened other ePub that was considerably larger with the bookmarks section spreading across respectively larger pages count and they did work!

Regarding images I to achieve desired aligning position of a legend around/near an image after endless experiments grouped them  - i.e. a legend and an image - into a single block and then made this block inline. The result was all lost images.

So, I don't know what is to blame: buggy software, corrupted .pages file (or improper layout, formatting) or smth else?

What would be your advise?
