Q: 2 Questions On Match

I am looking at getting a Match Subscription to more easily keep our music which is currently spread out on 2 computers and a 3rd external hard drive which has some as well.  Anyway, in reading info on match seems to be what we need to sync it all up.  However, I couldn't quite find the answers on these....

1. If I have a song at a 128 bit rate and iTunes has a match at the 256 bitrate, when I re-download the 256 bit rate one to the computer does it come with all the standard iTunes Metadata as well?

2. If I have a song which at a bit rate of 320, does iTunes match decrease the quality to 256?

Thanks for any help and info.

    Hi,

itunes match does alter the tracks on your computer. When you get a matched / purchased track, you would select remove download for the track with lower bit rare then redownload the 256 Kbps version. If the original version is 320 Kbps, you should keep the original but these tracks will be 256 Kbps on other devices. Metadata should not be altered.
