wrong apple id pops up everytime I buy a new Iphone. I think my father used my computer to charge his iphone years ago and I cannot seem to find or disconnect his ID from mine

I have an Apple ID that works for everything except whenever I get a new Apple product and try to use Icloud or my computer to set them up my father's ID pops up out of nowhere and then asks me for a password... ***??? I cannot find a way to disconnect his ID from my ID

You would need to set up the new Phone as a new device, and only download media (apps specifically) that you have purchsaed with your own Apple ID. Media purchased with a given Apple ID is forever tied to that Apple ID. So, any time an App that was purchased under your Dad's Apple ID, will ask for that ID's password in order to update.


You should sign into iCloud, iTunes & App Store, FaceTime, Messges, Mail, using your own ID. Then you can re-download any apps you have purchaed with your ID, and re-purchase or re-download (if they were free), any apps that you had on your previous device that were purchased or downloaded under his ID.
