Q: how much internet do you need to purchase in order to view apple tv
the largest internet package i have available to me is 50 gb anytime & 50 during night hours. I am wondering if I would even be able to use the apple tv in order to replace my satellite tv service. From what I can tell I would run out of internet very very quickly. Is this the case? or can you give an estimate of how much monthly internet would be necessary to replace satellite dish

To give you an idea for per hour usage
Netflix HD streaming uses 3GB
an iTunes HD movie is usually 4-5GB
Youtube HD is usually 1GB
iTunes is at a fixed rate, where Netflix and a lot of others adapt based on the current Internet/network connection (and YouTube content is user generated, highly compressed) so the actual data used can vary.
It all depends on how much you intend to stream and what other things you use the network for. For me I can get by with my 175GB plan, but still need to monitor my usage and supplement with an OTA antenna
