iPhoto on MAC not recognizing video taken by iPhone SE

I have a smart album which is used for discovering and categorizing all videos. Recently I purchased a iPhone SE and took plenty of videos that does not get recognized by the smart album (for whatever reason).

What I have tried: Added this to the smart album but it does not show up / Tried creating a few smart album still no show.

Quite disappointing as I've been having several problems with my SE. (see Notification not syncing across apple devices)
