I got a brand new iPhone6 (2 days old) from the Apple Store. Everything works well; however, when the battery is dead instead of the low battery message (the empty battery with the plug) popping up the screen looks distorted with red, black, and yellow lines. I am concerned there is a bigger issue here. Please help.

Never let your battery come close to being "dead".
OK well thanks for that... was on vacation it happened while out and about. This still doesn't seem normal. Will work on not getting battery low. I try but sometimes life happens.

I am not 100% sure this will fix the problem but you can try holding the home button and power button for around 10 seconds.
